FAQ's on Annexe Matting, Awning Buddys and Max Deflappers.
ANNEXE MATTING
Are there any other colours available, other than green with respect to the annexe matting?
Yes, the other colours available are Grey and Blue is also produced but not imported by us.
How do you clean the matting?
The annexe matting can be cleaned with a broom and/or shaking it out. It can also be washed with warm water and soap.
What width is the green matting?
The standard width is 2.5m. The pre-packaged length can be purchased in a convenient plastic bag with reinforced seams: 3, 4 or 5 m. However, other lengths are available and can also be cut to suit each caravan or motorhome. The size needed would be roughly the area of your awning.
Does The Annexe Matting Kill The Grass?
No, Due to extensive research and development this matting will not kill the grass as its breathable. Its also lightweight and Ultraviolet (UV) protected.
What country is the annexe matting made in?
The matting is made in China. Our company where possible attempts to source all products from Australia.
Does the annexe mat have an edging?
No there is no edging on the mats we import.
Can you take the annexe mat to any caravan park?
Some caravan parks still prefer you to use the original grass. However, more are allowing the annexe mats to be used. This is because of its breathability, which decreases the impact on grass and allows dirt and liquids to fall through.
AWNING BUDDY AND MAX DEFLAPPERS
Does the white tubular part of the "Awning Buddy" fit the awning?
Yes and the two Velcro straps fit onto the awning bar so as to prevent the awning from flapping.
Does the Awning Buddy tension up?
Yes, there are screws either end which tension up to adjust.
Do you need to buy 2 pairs or 4 Max Deflappers?
It depends on the conditions you are caravanning in. Two would be suitable for most conditions but for windy conditions another pair may need to be purchased.
Which one is better the Max Deflapper or the Awning Buddy?
The Max Deflapper has a screw and one tension point to hold the awning whereas the awning Buddy has a spring loaded system which tensions up and has 2 points of contact.
Some people would say the Max Deflapper has less components to go wrong with it. The manufacturers say that these deflappers hold best and provide max protection from rips and tears.
There is not much difference in price either between the awning Buddy and Max Deflapper.
Customer Reviews of the Max Deflappers and Awning Buddy.
Customer reviews of the max deflapper has shown that it was no problem in 35mph wind conditions. Others have said that they need to replace the metal “O” ring with the current plastic one.
Customer reviews of the awning buddy show that they are of poor quality such that the customer has even recommended purchasing the competitors brand.
